November 2003 - First Cake off the rank was for Isabella's 2nd birthday in 2003. Thank goodness for the WW Kids Cake Book - as you go through all my "creations" you will see that a lot of "cake lifting" goes on but hey we all start somewhere. This one was a hit with everyone - right down to the residual "blue tongues".
In the early years I used to use a packet butter cake recipe. They are quite good to use and are a solid foundation for the layers of icing that go on top!!!
