October 2008 - Isabella's birthday is the week after halloween and this year seeing as though she had a ballet recital on the day of her birthday we held her party early to coincide with Halloween. We had so much fun organising the decorations and on the day, trick or treating with the local neighbourhood. Down to business tho - a trend for combining cakes with cupcakes has started LOL - funnily enough I started doing this because of having multiple parties for the kids - Friends and then Family. It just meant that I could re-use the big cake later that night LOL. Anyways, Jack here was two ring shaped pans joined to gether. The space in the middle was filled with 'spooky treats'. Covering the cake took a bit of time to make sure that the pumpkin shape looked real. The face was done with licorice straps.
