Sept 2009 - this one has been a long time coming for my Birthday Buddy. The party was delayed a little bit but I am happy to say is going ahead this afternoon - sadly tho, I am going to miss it as I am venturing down to Melbourne for a girly weekend and to suss out some cake shops. Anyways for this cake we made 2 18inch buttercakes and one small pudding bowl cake for the top. They were assembled and filled with lemon butter cream and raspberry jam - have to say is my fave combination. I then crumb covered the cakes with the lemon butter cream and then had different shades of pink and purple fondant which were rolled out into strips to form the skirt. Using one of our play doh cutters I made a top to the skirt and around the base I placed daisies made in the same colours. White daisies adorned the skirt as well. Mini cupcakes surrounded the cake - also adorned with the mini daisies as well.

- WELCOME TO THREE BEEZ CAKES. I am a Stay at Home Mum of 3 B's ..... Bella (Isabella 9), Bronte (7) and Beth (Elizabeth 5) who love birthdays!! Having three girls and seeing the asking price for shop bought cakes, I thought I would make an attempt at creating my own kids cakes. After a few successes (and some disasters!!) friends started asking me to do cakes for their kids and other occasions. SO HERE I AM!!! Take a look and enjoy whats to come..... they do taste as good as they look!!!! I have that one on the good authority of my expert taste testers AKA Three Beez.
